Your rides are yours.
What Flow collects, who sees it, and how to make it all disappear — in plain language.
Who we are
Flow is an infinite-range navigation app for electric unicycle and PEV riders, made by PEVRA. Questions about this policy or your data: info@pevra.org.
What we collect
- Account identity. Your email address, and if you sign in with Google, your basic Google profile (name, avatar). Used to sign you in and to associate your content with you.
- Rider profile. Display name, avatar image, and avatar color you choose.
- Location history. When you record or join a ride, Flow stores your GPS trail (breadcrumbs) so you and people you share with can see where you rode. Live rides broadcast your position to the ride's participants and spectators while you are live. We do not collect your location outside of rides you start or join.
- Wheel telemetry. If you connect your wheel over Bluetooth, Flow reads battery, speed, and power data. A copy is stored anonymously — wheel model and electrical readings only, with no link to your account or your rides — to improve range estimates for everyone.
- Glasses display (Flow HUD). If you turn on the Even Realities G2 display, Flow serves your battery, speed, ride time, and next turn to the Flow HUD app over a local connection that never leaves your phone (127.0.0.1). Nothing is sent to Even Realities or to us for this feature, and nothing new is stored.
- Glasses display (ENGO 2). If you pair ENGO 2 glasses, they receive the same cues directly from your phone over Bluetooth. Nothing is sent to ENGO, ActiveLook, or us for this feature. Flow stores the paired glasses' name and Bluetooth address on your phone and never sends them to us or anyone else; like your other app settings, they can be included in your phone's own backup.
- Content you create. Routes, collections, and community charger submissions (including photos).
- Crash reports. If the app crashes, a technical report is sent to Sentry. We configure these to exclude IP addresses and personal identifiers.
Who else sees data, and why
Flow uses a small set of services to work. Each receives only what its job requires:
- Supabase hosts our database and signs you in. All app data above lives there.
- Mapbox and LocationIQ receive map coordinates to draw maps, plan routes, and look up place names. They never receive your identity.
- Open-Meteo / OpenWeatherMap receive coordinates to fetch weather along your route.
- OpenChargeMap / NREL receive coordinates to find chargers near you.
- Google handles sign-in if you choose Google Sign-In. We never see your password.
- Sentry receives crash reports (no IP, no identifiers).
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.
Sharing and visibility
Sharing in Flow works through links and codes: a ride code or a shared route link is a key — anyone who has it can view that ride or route. Share them the way you'd share the location of your house keys.
- Routes are private until you share them.
- Group rides broadcast your live position to that ride's viewers while you are live, and store your trail for the ride record.
- You can join a group ride anonymously; your account identity is then not shown to other riders.
Retention
Your data is kept until you delete it or delete your account. Deleting your account is immediate and permanent.
Delete your account
In the app: Settings → Delete account. This immediately and permanently deletes your profile, rides, location history, routes, collections, and sign-in identity. Community charger submissions remain available to other riders but are stripped of any link to you.
No longer have the app installed? Email info@pevra.org from your account's email address and we will run the same deletion for you.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the version and effective date here and note it in the app's release notes.
