Corrections and retractions

This page is the record of PEVRA being wrong. A correction is a claim that was fixed; a retraction is a claim that was withdrawn because it should not have been published at all. Both are commits in the repository this site is built from, so neither can be quietly undone: every one is listed below with its date, the seven-character name git gives a commit, and the issue number that prompted it. The full record, corrections and everything else, is atevery change to the legal records; how a claim is made in the first place is on how we verify.

What we do with a report

A report becomes an issue in the repository this site is built from, so it has a number and cannot be lost. A steward opens the official source — the state's own statute page, the city's own code — in a browser and reads the clause again. If the page is wrong, the fix arrives as a pull request whose commit declares what kind of change it is and names the issue it closes. The change then appears here and on the change record, with the same date and commit as every other change, which is the half of how we verify that covers a claim being unmade.

How to report one

A commit message is what its author said they were doing. What the law says is on the page for the place it governs, tied to the clause it comes from. General information, not legal advice.
